Manchester United Announce Pre-Season Tour To The United States

Manchester United have confirmed that they will be back in the United States this summer as they have scheduled five enticing games as a part of the pre-season tour this year.

The Red Devils are currently enjoying the best run by a European side in the domestic league in the top five leagues and have a great chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

So they will need to have a proper pre-season that can get them ready for the challenges ahead. With Mourinho having settled at the club, this summer could be crucial at Old Trafford and this is the first step that the club has taken towards making the next season successful.

The club’s official website has today revealed that Manchester United will travel to the US for a two-week period in July to play in five different cities this summer.

The schedule including matches in Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Santa Clara and Washington DC with a fifth city to be confirmed.

The owner of the club Ed Woodward was evidently excited with the prospect of his side entertaining in the global market and released a statement on the official website which read:

Visiting North America will give the team the best possible preparation for the new season, using top class training facilities and playing in some great stadiums.

“We have witnessed first-hand the passion and support for the club in the US in recent years, so naturally it is something that everybody is very much looking forward to this summer.”

Manchester United last traveled to the US under former manager Louis van Gaal back in 2015 when they visited Seattle, Santa Clara, San Jose and Chicago.

Further details including opposition teams, venues and ticket details of the tour this year will be announced in the coming days.
