Reports: Manchester United Ready To Trade David De Gea In Bid To Sign Kylian Mbappe
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly ready to sell De Gea to Real Madrid this summer. This will be under the condition that the Spanish club pull out of the race to sign Kylian Mbappe.
The Madrid club has been targeting the Spanish goalkeeper for some time now. He was also almost signed by Los Blancos before their infamous fax goof-up happened.
Now former Real Madrid manager Mourinho is ready to allow De Gea to move back home. He has laid down a condition that they have to stop pursuing Monaco’s Mbappe according to the Don Balon.
Mbappe has impressed heavily this season both in the Champions League and Ligue 1. He played a key role in Manchester City’s exit from the Champions League. This has made him a hot star for all top European clubs.
Manchester United are also desperately looking for a strong forward to support Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and replace him when he leaves. Anotoine Griezmann is the man heavily linked with the Red Devils.
Considering that the Atletico Madrid striker would be very expensive, and tough to pursue, they would want to shift their focus to Mbappe. Real pulling out from signing the French teenager would significantly improve Mourinho’s chances of bringing him to Old Trafford.
Another former club that seems ready to do business with the Portuguese seems Chelsea. Willian, who shone under Mourinho, has found very less game time under Antonio Conte.
The Brazilian is still fancied by his former manager, and Manchester United is lining up a bid for the winger, according to Manchester Evening News. If they pay the right price, Conte is reportedly ready to sell.
