While Football is a sport dominated by Europe, The United States of America is not far behind with it’s love for the sport and it keeps producing players that make it big on the world stage and stand out in being the finest the country has produced. We take a look at who is currently among the ranks to be classified as the best American footballer in the world:
1. Jordan Morris
One of the rising talents from the States, Jordan plays in the MLS for Seattle Sounders and has been a part of the country’s football since his early days from the domestic league.
He has emerged quick and fast in the eyes of the world watching and despite having a chance to take a trial run for Bremen in the Bundesliga, he signed for his hometown club in Jan 2016 and has since scored 12 goals and won the MLS cup too.
2. Jozy Altidore

Some might know him as a flop in England, but the case is certainly otherwise as the 27 year old American forward has played his football all over the world at such a young age with stops in Spain, Turkey, Netherlands, England and twice in MLS.
To add to that, he also has a 100 appearances for the National US Team while bagging 37 goals in that stint.
3. Clint Dempsey
A legendary payer for his country, probably at par with the like of Landon Donovan, Clint Dempsey has had a career filled with success, achievements and display of brilliant football.
Dempsey was with Fulham from 2007 through 2012 and scored 50 goals in 184 games and on his return to the MLS with Seattle in 2013, he has bagged in goals 35 in only 74 appearances.He also holds the record for the being the second highest American national goal scorer with 52 goals.
4. Christian Pulisic

At an unbelievable young age of 18, he is an integral player for one of the finest teams in Europe and he certainly deserves the spot he finds himself in. With 7 goals and 9 assists in his 42 appearances for Dortmund, he is on the verge of greatness in the coming future.
Brad Friedel, Landon Donovan and Brad Guzan are among the names of great players to represent the country in the sport and the names mentioned above are certainly on a similar path.
