Pep Guardiola Casts His Eyes On Antoine Griezmann

Pep Guardiola is one of the many managers that wants Antoine Griezmann this summer.
Manchester City have been decent this season, and have a great chance to qualify for the Champions League for the upcoming campaign, but the manager is convinced that he needs to add options to his squad to compete with the best of clubs next season.
This has seen him linked with some of the biggest stars in Europe, and the latest name doing the rounds around the Etihad is Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann.
The French striker is one of the most prolific goalscorers in Europe at the moment, and is currently well settled at the Vicente Calderon.

But he is at the top of the wish list for local rivals Manchester United, who are also desperate for attacking additions this summer.
And according to reports from the Daily Mail, Pep Guardiola is convinced that the La Liga star is the right man to lead his side’s attack next season.
The likes of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus have done a decent job this season, but the manager is determined to add a quality player to the squad at the Etihad, and is now reportedly ready to do whatever it takes to lure Griezmann to the club this summer.
Manchester United are expected to the biggest rivals for City for Griezmann’s signature, with Mourinho having already opened talks with the player, but lack of Champions League football can dampen United’s chance of signing the 25-year-old at the end of the season.
City have a better chance of qualification this season, and this might help Guardiola snatch Griezmann from under United’s noses.
