Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is set to break the bank yet again, as United close in on Torino hitman Andrea Belotti.

Andrea Belotti is one of the top scoring strikers in Europe this season, as the Italian has already scored 25 Serie A goals in 29 matches for Torino.

Known for his strength and heading ability, Belotti proves to be an assassin in front of the goal, and it’s easy to understand why the striker has been on the radar for Jose Mourinho all season.

The coveted striker has attracted interest from various clubs across Europe, and it won’t be easy for Manchester United to get his signature.

And now, their task has only become tougher because of an unusual clause in Belotti’s contract at Torino. The player had an £84 million release clause inserted in his contract which, interestingly, applies only to the foreign clubs. The massive release clause would ask Manchester United to burn some serious cash – which they seem eager to do every transfer window.

Jose Mourinho’s resolve to land Belotti has only strengthened since the potential career ending injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Mirror reported that the Portuguese manager was spotted with super agent Jorge Mendes after the Europa League win over Anderlecht. Mendes although doesn’t represent Belotti, but the duo still discussed summer business.
