Manchester United have reportedly received a boost in their pursuit for James Rodriguez, as his wife, Daniela Ospina, seems to have begun house hunting in Manchester.

James Rodriguez joined Real Madrid from Monaco back in 2014 with a lot of promise, and enjoyed a good start to his life in the Spanish capital, especially under the management of former boss Carlo Ancelotti.

However, ever since Zinedine Zidane took over the reigns at the La Liga outfit, the Colombian has struggled to find a regular spot in the starting lineup despite having put in some impressive performances and scored some crucial goals – one such example being his equaliser in last week’s El Clasico.

The playmaker is therefore being linked with a transfer away from Los Blancos, and Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich as well as Premier League powerhouse Manchester United are currently being labelled as his two most likely destinations.

The Red Devils seem to boast an edge in this transfer pursuit at present, due to the fact that United boss Jose Mourinho shares an agent with James, in the form of Jorge Mendes. In fact, the 24-year-old has already asked Mendes to strike a deal with the Old Trafford outfit, if Spanish news outlet Diario Gol is to be believed.

And to add further fuel to this speculation, reports from The Sun now claim that James’ wife, Daniela Ospina – who also happens to be the sister of Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina – is currently in England to find a suitable home in the city of Manchester.

Daniela recently spoke about Rodriguez’s future at Real Madrid as well, by stating: “The moment he has to make the decision he will take it. If not, I think he will be happy here. I cannot say anything. It’s a very personal decision.

“James wants to stay in Real Madrid. He is super happy, always working and trying to improve himself, whatever it has to be. I love Madrid, I’m very happy in Spain, and I want to stay here, [but] obviously I want him to play more, I’m not going to lie.”

Why sit on the bench in Spain, when you could come to Manchester and be the super star you are.
