Teddy Sheringham Blasts Mourinho For Treating Shaw And Martial Poorly
Former Manchester United player Teddy Sheringham has hit out at Jose Mourinho for publicly criticizing his players.
Mourinho is someone who doesn’t shy away from ridiculing his own players and blaming them in press conferences. But it seems his behavior hasn’t gone down well with Teddy Sheringham, who has questioned the Portuguese coach’s attitude.
Teddy Sheringham, who played for Manchester United under the legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson, stated: “I’m one that played for a lot of top managers, and never really got castigated in the press.
“Sir Alex Ferguson would never have done it, Terry Venables definitely wouldn’t have done it – and they were top managers for me. They would dig you out in the changing rooms or in their office and tell you how wrong you’d been and fine you a week’s wages.

“But they would always back you to the press or within. Telling everyone what you’ve done wrong, piles the pressure on. And I don’t really agree with that, but maybe Jose Mourinho would tell you there’s another method to his madness.”
Luke Shaw has faced the wrath of Jose Mourinho on various occasions this season. The Manchester United boss has openly criticized the English left-back’s fitness, and even said that Shaw has to be told every single thing to do from the touchline.
Anthony Martial is another of Mourinho’s press conference victims, and seems to have fallen out with boss.
