Inter Milan To Make An Offer For Sergio Romero
Inter Milan are reportedly prepared to offer a two-year contract to Manchester United’s backup goalkeeper, Sergio Romero.
Sergio Romero has been offered a way out of Manchester United to join the Italian giants, as Inter intend to use the goalkeeper as a back up to the first-choice Samir Handanovic. It is reported that the Argentine is very keen on the move as well, and has already bought a house in Milan.
The 30-year-old has featured mostly in the Europa League and the cup competitions for Manchester United, and has amassed a total of 17 appearances this season.
He has been the second-choice goalkeeper at Old Trafford since arriving on a free transfer from Sampdoria in 2015, but it appears he wants to give this Inter Milan move a go to be a more prominent figure at the club than he is at present.
Inter Milan’s local rivals AC Milan are also rumored to be interested in the services of the Manchester United goalkeeper, but they too, would offer him a similar role, in which Romero will be behind wonderkid Gianluigi Donnarumma in the pecking order.
If any of the Milan rivals succeed in finalizing a deal, it’s guaranteed that the goalkeeper will be heading to San Siro, which is home to both Inter Milan and AC Milan. The only question that remains is whether it would be a good decision for Sergio Romero to leave Manchester United, only to be a backup goalkeeper elsewhere.
