Transfer Update: Kylian Mbappe To Real Madrid NOT Agreed, Claim French Sources
Rumours claiming Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid is a done deal are false, according to sources in France.
Reports from the Spanish press have recently been claiming that Kylian Mbappe is already on the verge of completing his transfer to Real Madrid this summer, with Los Blancos and Monaco agreeing to a mammoth €100 million deal for the youngster’s services.
However, French outlet L’Equipe (via Get French Football News) has now labelled this story as completely fake. The reliable newspaper contacted a senior Real Madrid figure to enquire about these reports, to which the club official replied: “This is rubbish.”
Furthermore, an inside source from Monaco also had his say on these rumours, as he revealed: “The situation has not evolved. The club does not want to sell him. We are in permanent contact with Kylian’s family and we are on the same wavelength.”
AS Monaco have not spoke to any of the interested parties as of yet, as they are fully concentrating on winning the Ligue 1 title, and progressing as far as possible in their ongoing Champions League campaign.
But the report does add that Mbappe has already expressed his preference to join Real Madrid in the future, not only due to the La Liga club being one of the biggest in this sport, but also because of his admiration for French legend and current Real boss Zinedine Zidane.
The 18-year-old has been linked with a big-money move to Manchester United as well, but the striker has no intention of joining the Premier League giants, due to their poor and largely defensive style of play under the management of Jose Mourinho.
Moreover, with young starlets like Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial already present at the Old Trafford outfit, Mbappe would rather prefer moving to a club where his role as the future superstar is not contested by any fellow top talents playing in similar positions.
