Even after all these years, Cristiano Ronaldo is much coveted and loved at Old Trafford, despite the former Manchester United phenomenon having the football world at his feet at Real Madrid.

However, the Old Trafford giants are now ready to relaunch their yearly hunt to bring their former star player back, claims Diario Gol.

Ever since Ronaldo left the Red Devils to fulfill his dream to play for Real Madrid, he has been touted to make a return to Manchester United on numerous occasions.

If the latest reports are to be believed, however, Real president Florentino Perez is having doubts over Ronaldo’s ability in the coming years, and would consider cashing in on the Portuguese superstar. Perez thinks that the Portuguese, now 32, has peaked and would only deteriorate further.

However, contrary to Perez’s belief, Ronaldo still continues to break Spanish and European goal-scoring records almost every week.

Jose Mourinho reportedly has Cristiano Ronaldo on his all-star wishlist – which could cost well over €300million. The Portuguese coach is very keen to work with his compatriot again, as the two have previously worked together at Real Madrid.

Manchester United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has a lot of business to talk to Los Blancos about in the upcoming summer. David De Gea, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, and now Cristiano Ronaldo, are set to be the ones involved heavily in the talks between the two European powerhouses.

Will we finally see Cristiano Ronaldo back at the Theatre of Dreams next season? Only time will tell. Or you tell us.
