Bordeaux star Malcolm has responded to rumours linking him to Manchester United by admitting that he could leave France if the right offer comes by his side.

The Brazilian attacking midfielder joined Ligue 1 side Bordeaux from Corinthians in January 2016 for a reported fee of £4.25 million, and since then, he has gone to become a key player for Jocelyn Gourvennec’s side, scoring 11 goals in 55 appearances.

His impressive performances have been catching the eyes of several clubs across Europe, with Manchester United said to be one among them.

Malcolm’s agent has already confirmed that Serie A giants Roma and Juventus are also expressing their interest for the 20-year-old. Amid growing interest from Europe’s top clubs, Malcolm has said that he would be open to leaving France at the end of the season if the right offer comes by.

“Even when I was at Corinthians, these rumours were already happening,” the 20-year-old told Gazeta Esportiva (via Metro) when asked about the speculation linking him with United.

“I have a calm mind about that. I have a focused thought on the pitch and I leave it to my agent and my family to take care of. Then, who knows, if a bid comes up I’ll think of leaving, but now I’ll just playing football.”

Malcolm can play all across the attacking front, with the right wing his preferred position. Moreover, the player has impressed with his work rate and desire to contribute to his team’s cause, something which has been highlighted by Bordeaux manager Jocelyn Gourvennec time and again.

Manchester United have many midfielders in their ranks, but Jose Mourinho could look to add another young player to his squad, as he looks to build a side that can dominate the Premier League and Europe for years to come.
