As Wayne Rooney seems to be inevitably leaving Old Trafford in the summer, the destination for United’s captain and leading goal scorer remains yet undecided. According to the Mail, Mourinho has made his intentions to go after Lukaku in the summer pretty clear, and could offer Rooney as collateral to his former club for a deal to take place.
Should the deal take place?
Wayne Rooney might have to drop his wage demands by a huge margin and settle for limited opportunities if he chooses to move to Merseyside. However, trading him for a beast and goal getter like Lukaku while saving money is a move Manchester United will highly benefit from, and if a possibility exists, the deal should go through without second thought.
Possibility of it happening
With Rooney and Lukaku both unsure about their current clubs, and Mourinho on the hunt for an outright centre forward who guarantees goals, a 6.5/10 is the current chance of the deal taking place.

In a surprising turn of events, the young Dortmund superstar, who seemed on his way to Real Madrid as his future club, has recently decided to choose their bitter rivals Barcelona as a better option instead, as reports in Spain have suggested.
Should the deal take place?
With 9 goals and 17 assists so far in his debut Bundesliga season at the age of 19, the player is gifted with an eye for goal, the ability to use either foot with ease, and dribble with success and finesse. With Messi being an idol he looks up to and his style matching that of what the Catalans love, the deal seems fitting. However, with MSN as first choice, and Dembele at an age where he needs experience and game time, a sudden move might not be best for his career to evolve to what it is capable of at the moment.
Possibility of it happening
With an academy full of young lads waiting to burst onto the scene and a new manager coming in, Barcelona are at a stage where nothing about their immediate future seems certain. Hence, the deal sounds like a weak rumour and has a low possibility of 3/10 of taking place.
3. Riyad Mahrez to Barcelona

With Leicester City having faced unbelievable success, they seem to have hit reality again, and hence, it could now mean that some of their best players might wish to make a move out of the club. In such times, reports from The Daily Star have emerged claiming that Barcelona are now part of a battle to sign Riyad Mahrez in the summer.
Should the deal take place?
Mahrez has clearly shown his abilities and talent in the previous season, and despite him being world class, one cannot imagine him heading to La Liga and finding game time in a side filled with ultra super stars like the MSN trio. The deal sounds like a brilliant prospect, but for the sake of the player’s future, should remain as rumour.
Possibility of it happening
With a price tag of £35 million and competition from PSG, Arsenal, and Liverpool, it does not look like a battle Barcelona will fight too hard for, and hence, this negotiation earns a possibility of 5/10.
4. Adam Smith To Chelsea/ Spurs
What’s the story?
The Sun has claimed that London’s big boys, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, are ready to face off in a battle for Bournemouth star Adam Smith.
Should the deal take place?
Smith has impressed one and all in the Premier League this season, and with the two clubs having their eyes set on him, Tottenham seem as a better option with them being his former side, and an imminent Kyle Walker exit around the corner. Chelsea are a side set in their ways, and joining them will certainly mean being back up more often than not for a player in sizzling form.
Possibility of it happening
Chelsea are Champions of England due to consistency in the team they play, and hence, bringing in new additions seem like a process they would not want to rush into. However, with Spurs moving into a new home ground next season, and the financial worries that might come their way along with the Champions League and exit of players, Smith might be a feasible option for Pochettino and his men. The possibility of that happening is 6/10.
5. Sandro Ramirez To Everton
What’s the story?
According to The Independent, Everton seem favourites to sign Sandro from La Liga side Malaga, as Ronald Koeman believes his club will overtake Sevilla and Tottenham in this particular race.
Should the deal take place?
With Lukaku all but certain of heading away from Goodison Park this summer, and Ramirez netting in 14 goals in Spain so far this season, it is the perfect opportunity for the Toffees to reel in a good quality striker.
Possibility of it happening
With Ronald Koeman personally attending a game to scout the striker, it seems like he means business, and the possibility of this deal happening appears to be a strong 8/10 at the moment.
