Antoine Griezmann Names The Only Team He Would Leave Atletico For
Antoine Griezmann has revealed the name of the team he fancies to join, and it’s bad news for all the suitors.
Despite being linked with a mega money move to Manchester United, Antoine Griezmann has suggested that he doesn’t yearn for joining the Red Devils like he yearns for New York Knicks. To join the New York-based basketball team, the Frenchman will just need to change his sport and grow a few inches taller.
The Atletico striker told Cadena Ser’s El Larguero (via the Daily Mail): “I would only leave Atleti to play with Derrick Rose”.
Derrick Rose is a professional basketball players who plies his trade with Griezmann’s favorite New York Knicks.
The forward had some more troubling news to bring to the Manchester United fans, as he further stated, “I am very comfortable at Atletico and now have to meet my representative with Miguel Angel Gil (the Atletico chief executive) and see what happens.
“I am happy. If I am happy in my personal life I will be happy in my profession. I love [Diego] Simeone and I love my mates.”
He added: ” I’m still as happy as the first day I introduced myself. I wish I could continue to enjoy my private and sports life. I want titles, it’s what I want and what I lack. I give everything for it.”
In the light of this latest Griezmann interview, it is easy to comprehend that a transfer to Manchester United is not as close as it seemed earlier.
Have the Red Devils shifted their focus onto James Rodriguez instead of Griezmann? The summer transfer window will reveal all.
