Chelsea To Make £43m Bid For Tiemoue Bakayoko
Antonio Conte is ready to make a huge bid for AS Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko to fend off interests from around Europe.
The Italian manager has inspired Chelsea to the Premier League title in his first year in England, and is looking to make a similar impact in Europe next season. Therefore, he is sure to be busy in the transfer window, looking for top class quality all around, and has been linked with some of the biggest names in the world of football.
And according to English news outfit the Telegraph, he is ready to make a £43m bid for AS Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The 22-year old has been in terrific form this season for the French outfit, who lifted the Ligue 1 title for the first time in 17 years. They also managed to push into the semi-finals of the Champions League, but these achievements might not be enough for them to keep Bakayoko at the club next season.
The report also suggests that Chelsea have given their manager a transfer kitty of around £200m, and Bakayoko is the first name Conte wants to tick off with these funds.
The Blues are expected to let Cesc Fabregas leave this summer, which will leave Conte with just Nemanja Matic to partner N’Golo Kante in the middle of the park.
The Italian tactician has been looking at the likes of Naby Keita and Marco Verratti recently as alternatives, but the Italian tactician has chosen to take the first step towards solving any potential midfield problems by completing the Bakayoko deal as early as possible.
