Manchester United are desperate for AS Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva, and are set to make an offer that ‘Monaco can’t refuse’.

The Red Devils have some serious quality in their ranks, but they intend to improve on it in order to compete at the highest level next season. They have been linked with some of the best talents in world football, and one name that is constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford is Portuguese midfielder, Bernardo Silva.

Standing as one of the most productive players in Europe in the recently concluded campaign, Silva has been in devastating form in front of goal, scoring eight goals and picking up nine assists in the domestic league.

The youngster helped the club to their first league title in 17 years, and also put them in the semi-finals of the Champions League, where they lost to Juventus. His performances for the French club have not gone unnoticed, as he is now attracting interests from the best clubs in England.

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are looking at him as an option, but Manchester United’s Jose Mourinho is now growing desperate for his signature.

According to France Football (via GFFN), the Reds have already met with the player’s representatives and are convinced that he is ready for a move. United officials will now sit down with the Monaco hierarchy to agree on a price for the player.

The report goes on to claim that Mourinho and Manchester United are ready to break the bank and offer the Ligue 1 club a price that they will not be able to refuse.

At just 22, Silva is a star for the future, and if he is a regular at Old Trafford, he can grow into the world class attacker who could be worth every penny United spend on him this summer.
