According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter Milan have slapped a hefty asking price on Ivan Perisic for Manchester United to match.

Sensing the keen interest from Manchester United, Inter have set a mammoth price of €55-60 million to sign the Croatian winger.

It is being reported that the Red Devils have offered €35 million for the attacker, who has attracted interest from Chelsea too. Blues’ boss Antonio Conte has also asked the Italian giants about the possibilities, and other information about a potential transfer of the winger.

Should an agreement be reached between Inter and Manchester United/Chelsea, the Serie A club will look to bring in Federico Bernardeschi of Fiorentina or Domenico Berardi of Sassuolo to replace Perisic. Angel Di Maria is another high profile name that Inter are working on to strengthen their ambitious project.

The transfer saga of the 28-year-old Croatian international is expected to stretch all over the summer window. Manchester United believe that their €35 million for the player is fair, whilst Inter have made it clear that they won’t entertain bids lower than €55 million.

Chelsea’s interest in the winger might force United’s hand to conclude a deal early and fulfill the demands of the Italian club.

Jose Mourinho has issued a wishlist to Ed Woodward with the players he is seeking in the summer, with Perisic reportedly being one of the names on the list. The other rumored candidates include the likes of Andrea Belotti, Antoine Griezmann, Michael Keane, and Blaise Matuidi.
