Having won the Europa League, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to bolster his squad’s attack with a shortlist consisting of two players.

According to the Independent, Antoine Griezmann and Andrea Belotti are being seen as the missing pieces of the puzzle at Old Trafford. Jose Mourinho believes that his team needs quality over quantity, as the Portuguese coach finalizes his summer transfer plans.

It’s expected that Manchester United will have to trigger the £86.7 million release clause in Griezmann’s contract, however, a personal agreement is yet to be reached with the Atletico Madrid superstar.

Interestingly, when questioned about the chances of him playing for Manchester United next season, the French international said “6 on 10”. Griezmann remains a long term target for the Red Devils, but now Mourinho wants Belotti to join the Frenchman as the spearhead of the Red Devils’ attack.

However, Mourinho is eager to land the Italian on the first opportunity, before other clubs enter the equation and make it complicated.

Speaking to media, the Manchester United boss indicated that his shortlist has been forwarded to the responsible person in hierarchy.

The Portuguese said: “(The agents) don’t have my number. It doesn’t matter if it’s Champions League or not, Ed Woodward (the United executive vice-chairman) has my analysed (targets).

“He has what I want, what I would like, for more than two months. So now it’s for him, for the owners, for the people that work with him and I just wait but I don’t care about football now.”
