Manchester City And Real Madrid War For Mbappe With €130m Bids
Manchester City are understood to have made a humongous bid worth €130 million for Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe. Real Madrid have also raised their bid to the same amount, in a desperate attempt to prevent the player from leaving for the Etihad.
According to the French media outlet Telefoot (via Get French Football), both giants of European football are leaving no stones unturned in their attempts to bring the prodigy to their club.
With Bernardo Silva already having joined City from Monaco, Pep Guardiola wants Mbappe to be his prime transfer target.
The Mancunian club has been heavily linked with several players of the reigning Ligue 1 Champions, as a move for Benjamin Mendy seems to be a very promising prospective transfer as well. If both these deals go as planned, Guardiola will have brought in 3 of the best young stars from Monaco.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, have been linked with Mbappe for quite some time now, and have been looking to bring the striker to the club with several bids. According to previous reports, the 18-year-old had even rejected one bid from Los Blancos.
While the La Liga giants have quality forwards, they plan to replace another Frenchman, Karim Benzema, with the young Mbappe. With Asensio on the bench as another future prospect, Zinedine Zidane looks to be building a team for the future.
With Manchester City being given a £300 million transfer budget this season, and Real Madrid searching for a new striker, the fierce war for the player could certainly see several records being broken.
