Ronaldo Expresses Frustration Over Real Madrid Fans
Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his frustrations with being whistled and booed by Real Madrid fans, and added that the lack of respect he receives from the Bernabeu crowd makes him miss his former club Manchester United.
Following a slow start to the season, the Portuguese has burst into life in the spring with 14 goals in the nine end of season matches. He has scored 40 goals in all competitions, and his impressive form has not only helped Los Blancos win their first La Liga title since 2012, but they are also on the course to become the first club to win back-to-back Champions League titles.
Despite being the backbone of Real Madrid’s success once again this season, the 32-year-old has been jeered by the fans on many occasions.
And ahead of the much-anticipated Champions League final against Juventus on Saturday, Ronaldo has said that he is exhausted with the treatment he receives from the fans, and added that an unsettled reception from the crowd makes him miss his former club Manchester United.

“I don’t like it and it’s not normal that they whistle you in your own stadium. I just don’t like it,” the 32-year-old told La Sexta (via Goal.com)ahead of Saturday’s Champions League final against Juventus in Cardiff.
“It shouldn’t be the case that a player who always wants to give his best and give 100 per cent for this team, when he makes his first mistake people whistle.
“It’s not correct. And when you are on a difficult run that is when you need extra support from outside not less. Sometimes we don’t have it.
“I spent a lot of years at Manchester United and it never happened to me. Not even once. Maybe England is a case apart – the mentality is different. I’m very happy being in Spain but obviously I also miss England because you can’t just turn off the memories.”
Despite not being happy with the Bernabeu fans, Ronaldo said that he has no intention to leave the Spanish capital, and also revealed his plans to continue playing until he is 40.
“I said when I signed my latest contract that it would be my penultimate and that I would play on until I was 41,” he added.
