Anthony Martial will stay at Manchester United unless Jose Mourinho wants to get rid of him this summer, says player’s agent Philippe Lamboley.

The French striker is easily one of the most exciting strikers around in world football at the moment. However, he has been used extensively on the flank at Old Trafford, thanks to the lack of genuine wingers at the club.

He has not been sensational, but has done enough to warrant a regular place in the starting XI next season, and it is now revealed that he will stay at the club unless United decided to cash in by selling him.

The youngster has another couple of years left on his contract, but the lack of regular playing time in his favourite position has seen him linked with an exit this summer.

However, Philippe Lamboley has now revealed that his client is happy in Manchester, and that he will not look for interest from other clubs unless United want him to.

Speaking to Journal du Dimanche (via Sky Sports), he said: “Martial has two years left and there is no reason for him to leave Manchester today. If Ed Woodward tells me they want him to leave, things are different. But that is not what he told me during our last meeting.”

At just 21, Martial is easily one of the most important players from the future of the club, and Mourinho will know that he cannot afford to lose him, especially in a highly inflated market like this.

So the Portuguese will now be happy with the words of the agent, as he can now stop worrying about Anthony’s future and start looking at players who can complement him and improve the team.

Do you think United can keep Martial at the club even if they sign a big name on the wing?

Martial is one of the best attackers. If Jose is wise enough as a focused manager or wish to have quality players. Not by name but by action. He should never think of exiting that man. Very brilliant. Manchester for ever we go
