Top Transfer Rumours Of The Day: Arda Turan, Jamie Vardy, Mohamed Salah, And More
1. Arda Turan To Arsenal?
What’s the story?
As per reports coming in from El Desmarque (via Sports Mole), Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan could well be on the move in the coming weeks, and the London giants, Arsenal, could surprisingly be his next destination.
Should the deal take place?
The Turkish international has had no impact since signing for the Catalan club in 2015, and after managing only 12 starts throughout last season, it is clear that the player and the club are mutually ready to part ways. With Arsene Wenger looking for quality players to get back to the top after a dismal season, heading to England might not be a bad choice.
Possibility of it happening
With a reasonable price of £26m being asked as Barcelona look for financial strength for the summer, the deal might just be around the corner with a strong possibility of 8/10.
2. Jamie Vardy To Everton
What’s the story?
Leicester City hitman and English international, Jamie Vardy, could well be heading to Goodison Park in the summer as Ronald Koeman makes him his top transfer priority, if reports from the Sunday Express are believed to be true.
Should the deal take place?
The Foxes’ forward burst onto the scene in Leicester’s title winning campaign 2 years ago and established himself as one of the best in the League – a status that was seen dropping in the first half of last season. However, the last 12 matches saw him return to goal scoring form, and he could use that momentum on a bigger platform in Merseyside next season onwards.
Possibility of it happening
Everton are on the cusp of losing their star player and main striker, Romelu Lukaku, and with around £100m expected to be the price they will receive for his sale, it will be more than enough to attract Vardy and other talents during the window.
3. Mohamed Salah’s Move To Liverpool Rubbished
What’s the story?
After numerous reports claiming Mohamed Salah was close to signing for Liverpool after a £30 million deal had been agreed, his agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, took to his own official Twitter account and rubbished those claims entirely.
Should the deal take place?
After scoring 19 goals in 43 appearances for Roma during last season and still having two years to play on his contract, a move at such a time would not be well advised for the player, and with Totti leaving the club, now might be the time to turn himself into a new Roman hero the fans are looking for.
Possibility of it happening
After the agent himself confirmed that Salah has been in Egypt since the end of the season and all rumours were fake news, a possibility of any deal happening is no higher than 1/10.
4. James Rodriguez Future Will Be Zidane’s Decision
What’s the story?
It does not take a genius to figure out that James Rodriguez is clearly not one of Zidane’s favourite players in the Real Madrid line up, and that, as a result, has led to the Colombian being linked to a move outside Santiago Bernabeu since forever. However, as reported by ESPN, the future of the player will be decided only after Zidane’s final verdict, as clearly stated by club president Florentino Perez.
Should the deal take place?
James is a man of immense talent and capable of producing super quality on the pitch, but him being excluded from the final of the Champions League last night clearly shows his status under the French manager, and a move away might be exactly what’s needed to revive his playing career and fast.
Possibility of it happening
A player of James’ calibre deserves to be on the pitch more and playing for teams that provide him with the chances his talent should get, and if his future is based on Zizou, it is fair to say a 9/10 possibility exists of the playmaker heading out of the Bernabeu very soon.
