What’s the story?

As per rumours mentioned in The Sun, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger reportedly held talks with the President of Lyon, as he looks to make a bid in the £50m region to purchase their main striker’s services for next season.

Should the deal take place?

Despite the protests, Wenger is still the manager at the Emirates for the season to come, and in order to bring the club back up to its prime and the fans in his favour, the boss is desperate to sign names that are in demand and bring in much needed missing quality at the club.

Lacazette has been one of Europe’s hottest properties over the season, and surely, a bid higher than the current one will appear in the near future, and it might come from a side with Champions League football. Hence, waiting might not be a bad choice for the player to make.

Possibility of it happening

The odds are heavily stacked up against the London club at this point of time, and thus, the deal carries a possibility of nothing higher than 4/10.

2. Lucas Alario To Borussia Dortmund

What’s the story?

According to Spanish website m1, Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund are interested in lining up a move for River Plate striker, Lucas Alario, in the summer transfer window.

Should the deal take place?

With Peter Bosz in town as the new boss, certain changes are imminent, and as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gets ready to head to French side PSG with a deal all but done, a new striker is the need of the hour. The Argentine forward scored 13 times in the season gone by, and can be a vital replacement at Dortmund in place of their departing talismanic goalscorer.

Possibility of it happening

The chances of the deal happening are currently 7/10.

3. James Rodriguez To Liverpool

What’s the story?

James Rodriguez has been heavily linked with major clubs across Europe as his exit from the Bernabeu seems imminent, and if reports coming in from Spanish news outlet Don Balon are true, the Kop are the latest side to have joined this race as they prepare a bid for the Colombian International.

Should the deal take place?

With the asking price assumed to be £52 million, a lot of major teams will be bidding in offers of higher values, and it will be up to the player to ultimately decide where his destination will be. The left footer might do well under a team managed by Jurgen Klopp, and the Premier League will certainly become that much better with his presence in it.

Possibility of it happening

A 6/10 possibility for this deal taking place.

4. Jeremy Mathieu To Marseille

What’s the story?

Jeremy Mathieu, the veteran defender, is currently looking for a way out of Barcelona, as he has only one year left on his contract and game time has not been a luxury at the Camp Nou. According to AS, Marseille seem to be the club willing to sign the centre-back during the summer window.

Should the deal take place?

With the French club apparently submitting a bid for the 33-year-old player already, and believing in the few good years he still has to offer, the choice shall not be a tough one to make, and pen should be put to paper before the chance goes begging.

Possibility of this happening

A sense of optimism surrounds this deal, giving it a high chance of 9/10.

5. Kylian Mbappe To Manchester United

What’s the story?

The AS (via Express) added fuel to Mbappe’s transfer rumours recently, as they reported that the player is now being chased by Manchester United, and the English giants have made a staggering £113 million bid for the 18-year-old.

Should the deal take place?

The lad is, no doubt, one of Europe’s brightest talents in the world at the moment, but becoming such a prized possession at such an early age might put a bit too much pressure on his early career, and hence, a move should be given long and hard thoughts by both the club and the individual.

Possibility of it happening

The striker is currently a Zinedine Zidane follower, and besides that, might decide to stay at Monaco for another year, thus all but ending United’s chances of buying him. 3/10 possibility in this one.
