Deal Done: Manchester United And Real Madrid Agree Morata Fee
Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, who is one of the hottest potential targets of many European giants, appears to have been secured by Premier League giants Manchester United.
Morata, whose future seemed to be under immense speculation, has reportedly made the switch to Old Trafford. The news was announced by beIN sports anchor, Richard Keys, through his twitter account.
Real Madrid had rejected one previous bid of £52 million from the Red Devils for the Spain international. However, the current deal is set to cost United €70 million, which would bring the 24-year-old striker to England for a period of 4 years.
Keys tweeted: “Morata deal done. The fee is €70m and he’ll sign a 4-year deal at Old Trafford.”

The Spaniard comes in as United’s first summer signing, as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his front-line ahead of the club’s return to the Champions League next season.
Morata, who had a very successful yet frustrating season with the newly crowned European Champions, was reportedly upset because of his lack of playing time.
Earlier this week, Morata’s agent, Juanma Lopez, indicated that the striker will leave the club if more playing time was not guaranteed to him under current manager, Zinedine Zidane.
“He does not want to do a season like this again. It was a great season, but he wants to play more,” Lopez said. “He wants to play more. Which is normal for an attacker who has scored 19 goals. It is too little. The player will take a clear and definitive decision in the coming days.”
