If reports from Chile are to believed, Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez has signed for Manchester City to reunite with Pep Guardiola.

Chilean journalist Fernando Solabarrieta (via The Sun) has extraordinarily claimed that Sanchez has agreed to join Manchester City from Arsenal. The 28-year-old striker is yet to sign an extension at the Emirates with only one year remaining on his contract.

Manchester City have come out all guns blazing in the transfer market, as the club has already wrapped up deals for midfielder Bernardo Silva and goalkeeper Ederson. And if the reports concerning Alexis Sanchez are true, it would surely mark the beginning of one of the most spectacular transfer windows for City.

The Citizens are not the only interested party trying to lure Sanchez away from Arsenal, however, as the likes of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain are also very keen on the player. All these clubs are ready to offer Alexis huge wages, along with the much desired Champions League football.

Sanchez, who is currently away on international duty, was one of the stand out players not just in the Arsenal team, but in the Premier League as well. The Chilean was at his brilliant best in a season where he amassed 30 goals and 19 assists.

However, his stupendous efforts were not enough to take Arsenal into this season’s Champions League – which could prove to be a decisive factor in determining his future plans.

When questioned by SunSport – much to the relief of their fans – Arsenal were quick to dismiss any transfer agreement with Manchester City for Alexis Sanchez.
