Kylian Mbappe: Real Madrid Have Been Trying To Sign Me Since I Was 14
Kylian Mbappe, the most wanted teenager in world football, has revealed that Real Madrid have been after him since the last four years.
The 18-year-old sensation, who scored 24 goals in a fruitful campaign where his team lifted the Ligue 1 trophy and also made it to the semi-finals of Champions League, has attracted interest from virtually every single big club across Europe.
In fact, according to various reports, Arsenal and Real Madrid have already had their massive bids, believed to be over £100 million in valuation, rejected for the French wonderkid. Arsene Wenger even revealed that he has a keen interest in Mbappe, as the Gunners tried to sign him during last summer as well.
The France international recently faced the press after his nation’s 3-2 win over England, where he was asked about the enormous interest in him from several European heavyweights.
And when asked about the reigning European Champions, Mbappe replied: “Real Madrid? They have been trying to recruit me since I was 14.”
When further asked about his future plans and aspirations, the striker stated: “We’re going to go away with the family and we’ll think about what’s going to happen. We have to sort it out, see what happens with the club too, because I’m under contract with a club, I’m not free. We’ll see what’s happening.”
Monaco, understandably so, will try to tie down their prized asset with another contract during the summer. However, it won’t be an easy task, given the ever-growing interest around the teenager.
