Man United Agree Terms With Morata, Says Transfer Expert Di Marzio
Well renowned Sky Sports Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Alvaro Morata has agreed personal terms with Manchester United.
Having failed in his pursuit of Antoine Griezmann after Atletico’s transfer ban forced the Frenchman to remain at the club, Jose Mourinho turned his attention towards Alvaro Morata, who is now his prime target for this summer.
United are keen to strengthen in certain key areas of the pitch that need improvement, and have prioritized the signing of a center-back, a full-back, a winger and a striker.
Having already met one of those objectives by securing the signature of Victor Lindelof from Portuguese champions Benfica, chief executive Ed Woodward is now working hard to sign Morata from La Liga and Champions League winners Real Madrid.

It is understood that Morata is desperate for more game time, and is willing to make a move to the Europa League winners, but Real are driving a hard bargain at the moment.
The Spanish giants are well aware of the Red Devils’ capabilities to splash the cash on players they really want to sign, and as a result, they are refusing to listen to any offers for the player that fall below £70 million.
Morata, 24, has already reached an agreement with United, and the striker’s agent was pictured arriving at the Santiago Bernabeu for talks regarding the transfer. However, according to Di Marzio, the ball is ‘in Madrid’s court’.
Writing on his official website, Di Marzio said: “Manchester United’s ambitious plans are for real. After announcing the official signing of Victor Lindelof from Benfica, the Red Devils are looking to add a star forward to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
“Their main target over the last few weeks has been Alvaro Morata. Terms have been agreed upon by the player and Man United, however, a deal still needs to be reached with Real Madrid. The transfer could take a while as Real Madrid are looking to cash in on an enormous transfer fee.
“Morata is willing to play in England and Mourinho is impatiently waiting to give the reigns up front to the Spaniard. The ball is now in Madrid’s court.”
