Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven have confirmed the signing of Mexican winger Hirving Lozano from Pachuca, ending the transfer rumor cycle which included the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Benfica and Ajax.

The 21-year-old reportedly left the Confederations Cup being held in Russia to have a medical in Eindhoven on Monday, and will officially sign a contract once the Confederations Cup finishes.

The winger left the camp in Russia to agree a transfer at club level, which has now been confirmed by PSV, who finished third in the Eredivisie this season.

A prominent player at the Copa America Centenario last summer, Lozano has developed a reputation as one of his nation’s most exciting prospects. The 21-year-old has been regarded as one of the top young talents, and has already represented Mexico 16 times at senior level.

Having become acclimatized to Liga MX early in his career, adapting to the Eredivisie will be a new challenge for the youngster. However, a deal that’ll keep the Mexico international until 2023 with PSV would give the talented young striker enough time to explore his potential.

The Mexican has scored 10 goals and bagged 5 assists in 20 appearances this season in the Liga MX.
