What’s the story?

Monaco have signed Barcelona youngster, Jordi Mboula, on a 5-year deal. The player impressed one and all with stellar performances for the Barcelona youth team and the young Spanish National Side, the highlight of which was a stunning solo goal against Borussia Dortmund.

Should the deal have taken place?

While speaking to the club’s website, Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev said: “Jordi Mboula has shown very good things with the youth team of FC Barcelona and AS Monaco offers him an ideal environment to continue his progress.”

It is clear that authorities at the Ligue 1 club are fans of the 18-year-old, and given their reputation to build a team full of youth talent, the player might have a bright start to his professional career.

The reigning French champions have already signed Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans from Anderlecht, defender Jordi Gaspar from Lyon, Swiss international goalkeeper Diego Benaglio from Wolfsburg, and midfielder Soualiho Meite from Belgian side Zulte Waregem.

2. Adnan Januzaj To Real Sociedad

What’s the story?

As per news mentioned in France Football, Belgian international Adnan Januzaj has no further role to play at Manchester United, and after being completely removed from Mourinho’s plans, he is all set to leave for a new challenge in his young days. La Liga has come across as his new destination, with Real Sociedad offering £9.7m for the winger’s services.

Should the deal take place?

The young lad has fallen desperately behind in the favoured ranks at Old Trafford, and after having spent a poor season away on loan with Sunderland and facing relegation, there might be no way back for him into Manchester. As he looks to revive his relatively short career so far and aim for a 2018 World Cup position with Belgium, a move to a side in another league might come as the fresh start he needs.

Possibility of it happening

The possibility of the deal taking place is currently 8/10.

3. Sergio Aguero To Stay At Manchester City

What’s the story?

After being in the news for a while and being linked with a move away from the Etihad, the Manchester City fans can breathe a little easily when it comes to Sergio Aguero, as Xinhua have claimed that the Argentine is all set to stay at the club. According to the source, the player is keen to play out the remaining 2 years of his contract.

Should the deal take place?

The striker might have fallen out of favour a few times last season as Pep Guardiola preferred new boy Gabriel Jesus, but there is no denying the quality and unmatched finishing abilities Aguero brings to the club. The player might face added competition if targets Alexis Sanchez and Aubameyang are signed in the summer, but staying and proving his worth might be a sign of how good he actually is, and indication of what is still left in his locker.

Possibility of it happening

When asked about the situation, the little magician said: “I feel very happy here, so I will fulfil my contract to stay here until the end of my contract. I have not thought about where to play next. I just want to focus on the work here.”

The possibility of the most dramatic League-winning goalscorer staying at the club, is currently 8/10.

4. Daniel Sturridge To West Ham Or PSG

What’s the story?

After scoring 40 goals in 3 seasons at Anfield under Brendan Rodgers, Daniel Sturridge has found life to be a little tougher under Jurgen Klopp, after managing to bag just 7 goals in all competitions last season. Hence, the forward could well be saying goodbye to Liverpool in the summer transfer window, as West Ham and PSG are said to be the teams interested in him.

However, according to reports in the Daily Mail, both the clubs are worried about the amount of injuries that the striker is prone to, and it could be a huge hurdle for the deal taking place.

Should the deal take place?

The talent and creativity that the English striker possesses is without doubt of the highest order, but with the 2 seasons gone by having shaped his career in a downhill direction, £40 million might be a bit too much to ask for from any team interested in the player’s services.

Possibility of it happening

The price tag might play a huge role in the negotiations taking place, and hence, a possibility of 3/10 exists of either club buying him at the moment.
