Terms Agreed: Chelsea Star Could Soon Reunite With Former Manager

Manchester United fans have had an up and down summer so far when it comes to transfers, with Antoine Griezmann deciding not to come, and Victor Lindelof signing.

However, they can go into the weekend feeling a little better about things, as reports of the club coming closer to signing Nemanja Matic have taken over the internet. As mentioned in Manchester Evening News, the midfielder has agreed personal terms with the Red Devils, and is all set for a summer move.

The player won the Premier League with Chelsea last season, but with the Blues chasing Bakayoko, he might look for a challenge elsewhere, and what better place than the Theatre of Dreams to move to.

The Serbian was signed by Mourinho in 2014, but an incident involving the manager sending Matic on and then subbing him off after 28 minutes left things ugly and unpleasant.

However, a reunion of the two seems to be imminent, and given the current bond between earlier foes Mata and Mourinho, it might mean good things for the big defensive midfielder if he chooses to go to Old Trafford.

Manchester United currently possess a set of big midfielders in the shape of Pogba and Fellaini, along with an irreplaceable Ander Herrera, but with Champions League football back next season, more options will not do them any harm.

The London Blues earlier allowed Juan Mata to join their rival club, and hence, a move for their current number 21 seems highly likely to take place.

The blue half of Manchester has been on a spending spree, and the Reds will have to step up their pace and aggression to match up to their noisy neighbours.
