What’s the story?

According to reports coming in from Spanish outlet Sport, Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez could well be on the verge of joining London club Arsenal on a 4-year deal in the summer. The player has apparently decided that he wants to play under Arsene Wenger next season and the next few days could see that becoming a reality.

Should the deal take place?

The player is ready to make a move after submitting a written application to the Foxes last month, and has been waiting for offers ever since. However, the winger has not gotten any response from Barcelona or any other big names so far, and could hence be making the switch to the Emirates at last. Despite there not being UEFA Champions League on offer, it will certainly be an upgrade from a possible relegation battling season with the English Champions of 2015-16.

Possibility of it happening

The chances of it happening seem strong, with them being a solid 8/10.

 2. Alvaro Morata To Manchester United

What’s the story?

As sensationally mentioned in reports by the AS, Manchester United are extremely close to securing their star striker for next season, as Alvaro Morata seems to be a deal that is all but done. With €70 million on the table for the striker, the total seems to be the only remaining issue, with Real asking for a higher fee.

Should the deal take place?

The striker is a regular Spanish international, but has had limited chances with Real Madrid under Zinedine Zidane. Given his age being 24 and a whole career left ahead of him, moving to a team that offers a primary position along with highest title winning ambitions, in one of the best leagues in the world, might do his footballing life wonders.

Possibility of it happening

After scoring 20 times in 43 appearances last campaign, the striker would want to increase his game time, and given his stats, the Red Devils would certainly not mind splashing their cash for him. Hence, the possibility of this deal happening is currently placed at 7/10.

3. Bertrand Traore To Lyon

What’s the story?

Bertrand Traore has officially said goodbye to Chelsea and moved to the Ligue 1 on a permanent basis. The 21-year-old forward agreed a five-year contract, with the London club placing a 15% sell on clause in it.

Should the deal have taken place?

The player was in the Dutch League with Ajax on loan last season, where he scored 14 goals during his stay that included a brace in the UEFA Europa League semi-final. These stats were enough for the French side to come for their man, who probably made the right choice by moving, given his lack of opportunity at Stamford Bridge and Antonio Conte’s lack of team changing attitude.

The player is all set to launch his career into sky high levels, and said the following statements after sealing the deal: “I want to help the club go far. Personally, I have set a goal to seek stability and, by signing a contract at with OL, can not ask for better. I have time to show everyone what I can do and what I am worth.”

4. Alexis Sanchez To Bayern Munich

What’s the story?

Kicker is the latest source to bring an update on the whole Alexis Sanchez to Bayern Munich saga, and according to the news mentioned, the deal might fall apart after the price has come up as an issue. The German club will have to apparently spend a mind boggling €150 million over a span of four years to secure the Chilean’s services, a fee that they believe is simply too high to afford.

Should the deal take place?

Arsenal are currently going through their worst phase of recent times, and that could be enough reason for their star player to leave. The additional absence of the Champions League is further reason for the attacker to get out of London. Given his abilities and stats, spending a lot of money might make sense for the player, but incase a deal does not work out, Man City will surely be coming in to test their chances.

Possibility of it happening

The chances of him going to the Bundesliga at the moment are 5/10.
