Manchester United are waiting for the future of Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid to be resolved before announcing the deal for Alvaro Morata.

Reports claim that the Premier League giants have reportedly wrapped up a deal to sign Morata from Real Madrid, but an official announcement awaits until Ronaldo’s future is resolved, who according to reports in Spain, is unhappy with life there amidst the tax evasion allegations.

Morata has been the subject of interest for Manchester United, and the deal that was expected to have been done by now is getting delayed over fee issues.

According to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, the move is still on the cards, but any confirmation will not be made until Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is confident of tying down talisman Ronaldo.

Morata is expected to be United’s marquee arrival ahead of the 2017-18 campaign, after the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The 24-year-old scored 20 goals in 42 appearances for Los Blancos last season, despite being used almost exclusively as a back-up choice in the famous double-winning campaign.

The former Juventus man is said to have agreed personal terms with United already, and is expected to be announced as the club’s new signing, prior to the Red Devils’ summer tour to the United States.

Meanwhile, other reports claim that Ronaldo will stay at Real amidst all the rumours, as the club is ready to pay his sum of the tax fraud allegations.
