According to AS, Alvaro Morata is back in Madrid to speed up his transfer to Manchester United

The forward is in Madrid on a quick break from his Honeymoon to complete the formalities of his transfer to Manchester United, while his wife waits in Ibiza. Morata has been on the radars of many clubs in the summer, but now it looks like the player is on his way to work under Jose Mourinho.

Morata, who had interest from both Manchester United and Chelsea, has chosen the Portuguese coach over the Italian. Jose Mourinho handed Morata his first senior appearance during his time at Real Madrid, and the Spaniard, seemingly, values that contribution in his career highly.

While Morata was away on his honeymoon with his new wife Alice Campello, Los Blancos and United struggled to come to an agreement over a transfer fee, due to which the transfer was stalled.

Real Madrid are not willing to let go of their striker for less than €85 million, while Manchester United are trying to make a deal at €74 million. But now that Morata is back in Madrid, he will try to finalize a move as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are working to bring Mbappe to the Bernabeu as a suitable replacement for the outgoing Morata. According to reports, Los Blancos have had positive talks with Monaco and Mbappe’s family about a potential transfer, that will make the French teenager the costliest player in the world.
