Romelu Lukaku’s Instagram Video Sparks Transfer Rumours

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku’s latest video on Instagram has sparked a flurry of rumours, linking him with a move to Manchester United over Chelsea.

Lukaku, who is reportedly set to leave Goodison Park this summer, has been heavily linked to both the Red Devils and the Blues. However, the 24-year-old is believed to make a return to his former club, after being sold three years ago to Everton.

But the Belgian’s latest Instagram post indicates that he could end up making a switch to Old Trafford instead of moving to the Bridge.

On Sunday, the Belgium international was at a pool party when he posted a video on his Instagram Stories with a man in a Manchester United shirt.

 

 

After enjoying a brilliant last season in which he scored a tally of 26 goals in all competitions, Lukaku is currently on vacation, and has reportedly been hanging out with Paul Pogba, who was also present at the pool party in LA.

However, this was not the first instance when the Everton talisman had fueled speculation regarding his future club. He had recently posted a video of him playing five-a-side game with Chelsea logos plastered across the pitch, indicating that he might make a move to his dream club after all.

Nonetheless, to sign the highly-rated striker, both Chelsea and United would have to pay a massive amount of cash, which is expected to break the world-record transfer fee that the Reds spent last summer for Paul Pogba. Everton have put a price tag of £80 million on their superstar, who has scored an impressive 87 goals in 166 appearances for the Toffees.
