Chelsea have had a summer transfer window to forget so far, after not only losing main striker Diego Costa, but also seeing number one target Romelu Lukaku head to rivals Manchester United.

Antonio Conte is a frustrated figure at Stamford Bridge at the moment, and is desperate to find a star striker that guarantees goals before the start of the new season.

However, the former boss of Juventus and the Italian National side is ready to go all out and end all worries by aiming to sign a forward better than most out there.

If reports coming in from Sky Sports are assumed to be true, the team from London are said to be aiming to bring in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the ongoing summer window. The Borussia Dortmund centre forward is one of the best in the business at the moment, and is also the most sought-after striker.

However, the deal might be a tough one to crack, as not only is the player valued at a sky high £70m by the German club, but he is also being targeted by fellow big spenders, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.

Hans-Joachim Watzke, the Bundesliga side’s chief executive, has warned the clubs interested that they might be running out of time, and hence, Chelsea are thought to be going ahead with the deal at full pace.

The player scored 40 goals in all competitions last season, and will be the perfect replacement for Diego Costa.

Chelsea won the Premier League title last year with a perfect balance of defence and attack, and with Champions League to play for this time around, Aubameyang might just be the perfect addition they need.
