Di Marzio Provides An Update On Neymar’s Situation At Barcelona

Paris Saint Germain are trying to pull off the unthinkable by signing Neymar from Barcelona, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.
The football world could be in for the excitement of the biggest transfer ever if Neymar agrees personal terms with PSG, as the French club is ready to meet the colossal €222 million release clause in his contract. The Brazilian has an offer to renew with Barcelona with better salary, but PSG will look to lure the player with even greater wages.
In order to speed up the negotiations, PSG have summoned their sporting director Antero Henrique, who is with the squad on the pre-season tour. The only hurdle to be faced by the French club is to make Neymar believe in their project, and convince him to make the switch to Parc Des Princes for the upcoming season.
After failing to win the Ligue 1 and advance further in Champions League last season, the PSG boss is well aware of the massive expectations that the board will be have for the upcoming campaign.
As a result, Unai Emery has asked the club owner to go all out for the tricky winger, as the Spanish manager feels that Neymar can lead his side to Champions League glory.
There were reports last season which suggested Neymar was unsettled at Barcelona, as the Brazilian thought he should have joined Real Madrid, who have established their supremacy over a declining Barcelona in the recent years.
If there is any truth in those reports, Neymar might very well look to jump off what he believes is a sinking ship at the Camp Nou, and start afresh at PSG.
