Fiorentina Midfielder Set To Have A Medical At Juventus
Since the start of this transfer season, two things have been certain – Man Utd being linked to every other good player, and Juventus searching for a strong midfielder. It finally seems that the second one is about to end soon.
Fiorentina’s Federico Bernardeschi is set for a move to the Turin club, with only the medical standing in the way, according to various reports.
The specifics of the deal are not yet clear, but it is believed that the deal is a 5-year-long one, worth around €40 million. And with only the medical examination left, a proper statement can be expected by early next week.
The 23-year-old’s performances in the previous season attracted several scouts in Italy to notice him and his quality. Apart from scoring 11 goals, he has already started making a position for himself in the U-21 squad for his international side.

Earlier reports claimed an askance of €50 million was rejected by the Turin club, as they believed the value was much higher than their estimation. Fiorentina, though, managed to reach an agreement with the Turin-based club on a 10% return on any future sale of the player (a sell-on fee), according to Sky Italia.
The technically gifted winger is known to be hardworking and not shy of putting balls into the box. His positioning is ahead of his years, and with an eye for goal, he’s considered to be among Italy’s strong prospects for the future. It is clearly visible, as despite being just 23, he has 75 caps to his name, and has scored 15 goals in 3 seasons for Fiorentina.
