Zlatan Ibrahimovic Eyeing A Return To The Serie A
Zlatan Ibrahimovic might be seen back at AC Milan, as he is reportedly considering a return to his former club.
Despite being 35 years old, he has had no lack of opportunities, with clubs from all around the world eyeing to make their club his next home. This is partly due to the great season he had at Manchester United, wherein he scored 28 goals in all competitions and won three trophies with the club.
After he suffered a cruciate injury against Anderlecht in the Europa League, the severity of the injury was assumed to be career-ending. But the Swede International bounced back faster than most athletes, as he is now expected to be match fit by October – 2 months quicker than the previous estimation of December.
He has been undergoing his rehabilitation at Manchester United’s Carrington medical facility, as a symbol of goodwill. While the Red Devils chose not to extend his contract, owing to his injury, he still remains at Manchester.
As a free agent, it is now rumored that the star striker might be making his way back to Serie A with AC Milan. According to the Italian media outlet Tuttosport, he is eyeing a move back to the San Siro, as his partner Helena Seger is strongly inclined towards a move to Italy, with Milan being her obvious choice.
His agent, Mino Raiola, is among the biggest agents in the sport, and is known to get the best deals for his clients. AC Milan have shown promise in the transfer market with calculated buys in Bonucci and Calhanoglu, among others.
MLS has been a long time option for the ex-Barcelona striker as well, with many aging footballers making it their home in their final years of the sport. That being said, Zlatan believes he still has a lot to give, and a move back to the Rossoneri is very much on the cards.
