Real Madrid Inform Gareth Bale Where He Will Play Next Season
Gareth Bale is set to remain a Real Madrid player, as he has been told that he is the ‘future’ of the club, as per The Guardian.
Bale has been endlessly linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, with Manchester United being touted as his most likely destination. His form, coupled with niggling injuries, became a major cause of frustration last season, and it cast his future in Spain into doubt.
Real’s pursuit of Monaco’s mercurial teenager Kylian Mbappe hasn’t helped his morale heading into the new season either, and it was believed that if the move went through, it would draw the curtains on Bale’s time at the club.

However, it now appears that Los Blancos have put a hold on any move for Mbappe, and are willing to wait for one more season before signing the 18-year-old French sensation.
As a result, Bale has been told that he is still very much an integral member of the squad, and is the ‘future of Real Madrid,’ despite him being 28 years old.
Bale is currently on a contract that sees him earn around £350,000-a-week (roughly £18 million-a-year) – a deal which he signed in October last year that will run up to 2022, when he will be 33. He is said to be keen on staying for the length of his contract, and is apparently content with life in the Spanish capital.
