Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben could reunite with former boss Jose Mourinho, should an offer be made for the talented frontman, reports Daily Mail (via Daily Express).

Robben’s spell at Chelsea under Jose Mourinho saw him achieve immense stardom status, clearly evident by his move to German giants Bayern Munich. However, his time in Munich could be soon come to an end, as the talent winger approaches the end of his contract.

Robben has been a key-player in the Bayern squad ever since his move to Germany, and he has rarely failed to impress. Though the Bundesliga giants reportedly think the 33-year-old has little to offer in the future, he still managed to score 16 goals in all competitions last season.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have been desperate to bring in a winger this summer, but failed attempts at signing Inter Milan talisman Ivan Perisic and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale have only added to the frustration among club officials and fans.

However, the Dutch international could be seen playing under Mourinho yet again, should the Portuguese manager put an offer on the table.

Moreover, not only would this end United’s winger crisis, but signing Robben, who helped the 54-year-old to two Premier League titles at Chelsea, would be an incredible addition to an already strong squad.

On the other hand, the Dutchman expressed his admiration for Mourinho and his leadership in a piece of nostalgic writing to his 16-year-old self.

He added that the former Real Madrid boss always trusts his men, and has high expectations for them. Furthermore, he also revealed how well Mourinho prepares his squad, and how he strengthens every player in his side so that they can perform at their best on the pitch.
