Eric Bailly Hints At Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Return To Manchester United
Manchester United fans could be in for some delightful news, with the return of star forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the team looking imminent.
Zlatan, who is nursing a serious knee injury, has been recovering well, and is eager to make a return to competitive football soon. The experienced Swedish international is backed by United defender Eric Bailly, who shared a post on social media site Instagram, that features the decorated striker.
Bailly, who scored for the Red Devils in the weekend’s 4-0 Premier League win against Swansea City, stated that he hopes the veteran forward is ready to make a swift return, as he will be waiting. The video shows the centre-back playfully kicking the Swede and running away for cover.

Meanwhile, Zlatan too, shared a video on Instagram of himself kicking a punching bag, as the caption read: “Which knee?” The 36-year-old, who is a fighter on and off the field, went on to score 28 goals in 46 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side last season, winning three trophies in the process.
A serious knee injury in the latter stages of the Europa League saw his campaign end, as he was reported to be out for the entire 2017, and United decided against renewing his contract in June. But he has been training in Manchester, and reports suggest the Reds will get him to sign a new contract, as Jose Mourinho is keen to have him in the squad.
Discussions are ongoing between the Old Trafford club and Zlatan regarding a return to the side, as the manager also wants him to play a potential part in a coaching role in the future. The former Paris Saint-Germain player would add vitality, and prove to be a suitable option in attack, especially after his heroics last season.
Summer arrival Romelu Lukaku has set the stage on fire with 4 goals in 3 matches, and gives the club sheer pace upfront. Zlatan will offer more of a holding play, and could be pivotal in getting goals as well.
The United think-tank believe having Zlatan around will benefit Lukaku, as well as Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, as the Mancunian club eyes more silverware in the years to come.
