Manchester United Make A Final Desperate Move For Premier League Star
Current league leaders Manchester United seem to have thrown in an ‘audacious bid’ to sign highly-rated Brazilian winger Willian from rivals Chelsea, according to reports.
United have been desperate to sign a wide-man this transfer window, and as it appears, after having been snubbed by Inter over Ivan Perisic deal, the Red Devils have once again turned their attention to Chelsea star, Willian.
Manager Jose Mourinho had already landed Nemanja Matic earlier this summer from last season’s Premier League champions, and now, he seems determined to get reunited with one more of the Blues’ stars this season.
It was reported by The Sun that Mourinho has launched ‘an audacious bid to land Willian from Chelsea.’ The Portuguese tactician is a long-term admirer of the 29-year-old, and has tried to bring him to Old Trafford on numerous occasions.
The duo has successfully worked together in the past, and the Brazilian was one of Mourinho’s key players during his time at Stamford Bridge.
It has been made very evident by the Red Devils’ boss that he wants to bring in four players this summer, and having already completed the transfer of striker Romelu Lukaku, defender Victor Lindelof, and midfielder Matic, Jose is still looking for a winger to complete his squad.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic also recently signed a one-year deal with the club, however, he is not expected to return until January.
It was also claimed by The Sun that Willian is likely to cost around £35 million. The Brazil international moved to the Bridge for £30 million from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala back in August 2013.
