Man Utd Make Shock £51 Million Offer For Real Madrid Youngster
Real Madrid superstar Marco Asensio could be on his way to complete a shocking deadline day signing, as Manchester United have submitted a £51 million offer for the youngster, reports Spanish outlet Diario Gol.
Since making his debut last season, the young Spaniard caught everyone’s eye with his stunning performance during his short time on the pitch. Asensio made a stunning statement to boss Zinedine Zidane by displaying his talent in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The midfield maestro made a lasting impact in his first season at the Bernabeu, scoring 8 goals and 3 assists in just 14 starts across all competitions. Apart from his goal scoring ability, Asensio’s involvement in matches has also been his standout quality.
However, the former Espanyol man could soon be seen departing Madrid, as Jose Mourinho’s side have reportedly offered a sensational sum of £51 million for his services.

It is believed that the bid was made during the enquiry about Gareth Bale’s availability, and the Portuguese manager saw the young midfielder as a perfect backup, especially when regular first-team football is not a luxury under Zidane.
However, Los Blancos reportedly rejected the bid without delay, making their wishes to keep the young prospect clear to the Premier League giants. Furthermore, club chief Florentino Perez is reportedly ready to raise Asensio’s release clause to £552 million in order to seal his future with the Galacticos.
Though the La Liga giants are keen on keeping Asensio at the Bernabeu, United, keen on securing his signature, could yet again return with a new offer in the winter transfer window. The 21-year-old has a release clause worth £74 million in his current contract, and it remains to be seen what offer lures the starlet away from Madrid.
