There is no denying the fact that Jose Mourinho is a pure tactical genius, and one of the greatest minds in managerial football.

This fact was further proven right by the boss by the bit of business he did during Manchester United’s signing of Romelu Lukaku from Everton.

As per Manchester Evening News, the Belgian was assumed to be a sure shot target for Chelsea, and Mourinho’s last minute plans left Antonio Conte frustrated and embarrassed.

This deal also kept Real Madrid at bay, as not only did they wait for United to come hunting for Morata, but were also left with a striker desperately wanting out of their ranks when Lukaku chose Old Trafford.

The forward was signed by the Red Devils for a staggering £75m – a price that was deemed to be too much for the Everton record goal-scorer.

However, Lukaku has proved the haters wrong and Mourinho right by the start he has had this season. With 6 goals in 8 appearances already, and a deadly partnership with Paul Pogba slowly coming to life, things look good in Manchester at the moment.
