Man Utd Told To Pay Big Money If They Want To Sign Talented Midfielder
Sarpsborg midfielder Krepin Diatta is one of the most promising emerging youngsters in world football with lots of attention towards him. The 18-year-old has been of great interest to Manchester United lately, who are considering making an offer for him.
However, Thomas Berntsen, the sporting director of Sarpsborg, has made it clear that only a big money offer for their young starlet will be considered by the Norwegian club.
While speaking to TV 2, Berntsen said: “What I can say is that there are many big clubs that follow Diatta? It’s a bit uncertain, but there is even greater activity in the summer window than in January. So maybe we can keep him to the summer.”
Berntsen hopes that the prized asset of his club stays at least one more season before moving away next year. According to the sporting director, Sarpsborg have accepted that the talent midfielder will leave for a big club, but they are happy that they will receive a large amount of moneywhile selling the player.
“The clubs looking at him are clubs with big wallets. He will cost a lot of money, there’s no doubt about it,” said Berntsen.
According to reports, Manchester United have had scouts sent to Norway, especially to watch Diatta, as they prepare to make an offer.
