Mourinho Confirms 3 Players Will Miss Champions League Clash
Jose Mourinho has confirmed the list of players who will not be involved against CSKA Moscow.
Manchester United have dealt a huge blow before their Champions League opener in Russia. With Paul Pogba already out, the Red Devils are set to miss out on three more players due to fitness issues.
The three players out of contention to feature against CSKA Moscow are Marouane Fellaini, Michael Carrick and Phil Jones.
It has been confirmed that Fellaini, Carrick and Jones haven’t traveled to Russia with the team.
While talking to the press, Mourinho said, “I won’t have Fellaini, I won’t have Pogba, we won’t have Carrick, so all three midfield players that we lose for this match.”

Pogba, who is out for more than a month with his hamstring injury, is set to be replaced by Ander Herrera.
Continuing his statement, Mourinho said, “So there are not many solutions, but we try not to focus on individual battles or in specific areas on the pitch. We try to focus on the globality and we are going to have a team with quality, with balance, to try to win the match which is our objective.”
Speaking about Fellaini, Mourinho was hopeful that he won’t be out for long. “It was only when I saw it on TV that I realised that Fellaini was very lucky. I do not expect him to be out for long.”
