The international break has given world-wide football fans the entertainment they needed when they were left without league football. However, many Manchester United faithful will be disappointed to learn that Eric Bailly sustained a minor injury whilst playing for Ivory Coast.

The Ivorian has played an instrumental role in his side’s recent run of success so far, as he has consistently done in the past. Bailly made 7 starts for the Red Devils, whilst scoring a goal in the league and conceding one.

Unfortunately, Jose Mourinho will have to make do during United’s much awaited clash against Liverpool without the talented defender, due to a minor groin injury he suffered whilst away for international duty. The centre-back has been feeling pain in his groin region, and has thus been left out of the trip to Anfield.

Nevertheless, the Portuguese manager is confident heading into the fixture, and believes his side can fetch a fancy result at full-time. On the other hand, it is yet unclear when the 23-year-old will be making his return, but Mourinho will surely be hoping that to be very soon.
