Man City went into half-time with a two-goal lead on Tuesday night as they clashed against Napoli in their Champions League fixture. However, their creative duo was involved in rather a peculiar incident following the half-time whistle.

Whilst the players were heading back to their respective dressing rooms, De Bruyne was visibly unhappy about a decision the referee made earlier, and tried to talk about it with the official exasperatedly. But his fellow teammates David Silva and Fernandinho, fearing he would get himself sent off, tried to haul the Belgian towards the tunnel.

The raging 26-year-old consequently took his anger out on his skipper, shouting ‘Let me talk!’ reiteratively as they tried to further refrain the skilful midfielder. Regardless, the captain remained cool and composed like he always is, despite being involved in the fiery conflict.

Although his behaviour was purely out of frustration, the Belgium international’s reaction to Silva has caught worldwide attention on social media and beyond.

Despite the bizarre scenario, De Bruyne played remarkably well in the match. He happened to produce yet another sweet assist against the Italian side, further proving his calibre as a playmaker.

His technique, wide range of passing, and long-range shooting skills are undoubtedly regarded as one of the best in Europe. Defenders worldwide always find it arduous to keep his passes in check, to keep them from finding his teammates.
