OFFICIAL: Manchester United Sign Huddersfield Star
Manchester United have completed the signing of Huddersfield Town’s under-15s starlet Rocco Fregapane.
Huddersfield have made a huge reshuffle of their youth academy setup, upgrading from a Category 2 to a Category 4.
Club chairman Dean Hoyle explained these changes by stating: “Our Academy system must provide a strong and obvious pathway to the first-team for players who are good enough, whilst also representing value for the club.

“Upon review, this is not something that we could claim. This decision has been the biggest we have undertaken in my time as chairman, and not an easy one. However, we cannot be afraid of change. This is a vital area to the long-term success of this club. We must make every effort to get this right.”

And now, Manchester United seem to have swooped in and taken advantage of this situation, by completing the signing of Huddersfield’s under-15 starlet Rocco Fregapane.
The young English defender has already completed his switch to the Old Trafford outfit, and even made his debut for the Red Devils’ renowned youth squad, which has been under constant improved ever since Jose Mourinho took charge at the Mancunian club in 2016.
Sam Fregapane, father of Rocco, expressed his delight at the youngster’s move to Manchester United via a facebook post, the caption of which read: “Well done Rocco who today signed for Man Utd and is off on England duty next week for the Under 15s. We are so proud of you.”
