Former Barcelona star Dani Alves wants Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez at Paris Saint-Germain, with the Chilean international set to leave the Gunners in January.

The Premier League club wanted their prized asset to stay put at the Emirates, but the player himself wanted a move away, and looked for a reunion with Pep Guardiola at Man City.

The league leaders almost had him in the summer for a staggering £50m in a frantic deadline day, but the move collapsed, despite Arsenal sanctioning the deal. Arsene Wenger’s side now runs the risk of losing Sanchez for free next summer, and therefore, a move in January for a relatively lower sum makes sense.

Amid speculation around the forward’s future, Dani Alves reportedly wants Sanchez to snub City and move to Paris to add more glitter to an already star-studded unit. Earlier, the Brazilian has stated that he appreciates the current Arsenal player, and will be happy if he comes.

“He is wanted by many teams. It would be good if he came with us. I will always appreciate him. I want what is best for him wherever he goes,” the full-back was previously quoted as saying.

City could go back for Sanchez despite having plenty of options on the wings, and most interestingly, they are currently in red hot form. Having Sanchez will be a luxury though, alongside the depth factor. But the same can be said for PSG too, especially after they signed Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. And with the likes of Julian Draxler, Lucas Moura and Angel di Maria, the Ligue 1 leaders have options aplenty already.

Sanchez is a regular for Arsenal, but with his desire to win league titles as well as the Champions League, it will surely tempt him to make a switch to either City or PSG. His playing time could be affected, but it looks like he is willing to risk it.
