Jose Mourinho has reportedly contacted Los Blancos to inform them that he is barely interested in signing Gareth Bale.

Manchester United had previously registered their interest in the Welsh winger, hoping that his pace and agility would bolster the team’s offence, providing them with a better edge over the other Premier League clubs.

However, sources now claim that the Portuguese tactician has apparently snubbed the interest over Bale, plausibly on the grounds of the consistent injuries he suffers.

The 28-year-old is still struggling to perform invariably for the Spanish side owing to the calf issues he sustains every now and then. Since his advent from Tottenham in 2013, the wide-man has won three Champions League titles, but picked up eight calf injuries.

Accordingly, Florentino Perez wants to get rid of the winger as soon as possible, as the Welshman is failing to contribute to the club despite the massive wages he’s milking.

The Red Devils have cooled their interest in the acrobatic winger, presenting Spurs a chance to snatch the player, who has slipped down the pecking order because of a detrimental spell. Bale had missed 23 games as a consequence of injuries during last year’s campaign, which makes it apparent why Mourinho decided to give up on the winger.

Meanwhile, the reigning La Liga champions have been tempted to make swoop for Tottenham star Harry Kane for a while. But inspecting the sensational form the striker’s been showcasing, Spurs might offer reluctance to sell the player.

However, Bale going the other way back could see the transfer happen. Further, Spanish outlet Diario Gol had claimed that the electric winger had been shown the green light to leave the Bernabeu.

Despite his injury woes, the decorated figure still prevails as one of the world’s reputed players, with his pacy legs aiding him further. Regardless, his contract fastens him to Madrid till 2022, even though Perez might not stay patient enough to see out the remaining years.
